The Missouri National Guard’s 1-135th Attack Reconnaissance Battalion returned to Warrensburg Sunday, Feb. 9 from Afghanistan, where they have been deployed since July. Having been deployed for more than half a year, some of the returning soldiers were meeting their babies for the first time. Raven Wolf plays spiritual jazz music outside of Lakota Coffee every Friday morning. Wolf said he’s been interviewed plenty of times for accomplishments he’s made with music, but chooses not to pay them much thought. “If you spend too much time thinking about the past, you’re missing the present,” Wolf said. President Obama visited Warrensburg to speak about the economy and to commend the University of Central Missouri on its work with the Missouri Innovation Campus.
