Leah Horner

I’m Leah Pezzetti and I did my undergrad at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo where I got a B.S. in Broadcast Journalism. Then I went on to get my master’s degree from Mississippi State in meteorology, and I truly love both fields. I’m proud to not just forecast, but also put a spotlight on the environment.

I helped KING 5 launch our regional Environment Northwest franchise, a collaboration with our sister stations in the region, plus I launched a monthly astronomy show called The Sky Above.

My focus is lifting up women and inspiring kids to love science. I try to visit as many classrooms as possible to talk about the weather and my job. Seeing faces light up and get excited about STEM brings me so much joy!
