Katherine Gilyard

Katherine C. Gilyard is an alumna of Howard University. Currently, she is a health equity reporter and photojournalist based in Washington, D.C. Her beat centers, but is not limited to, work that focuses on the environment, science, and medicine, race culture and their intersections. She is deeply interested in work that centers and amplifies the voices and stories of marginalized communities. She maintains a special focus on Black women and public/global health but is accepting any new assignments and projects.
