Jan Sonnenmair

Jan was honored to be the 2016-2017 Knight Fellow at Ohio University’s amazing Visual Communications School!

As a documentary photographer, documentary film director and an educator,  Jan is committed to capturing and conveying the unique culture of organizations and institutions and stories from around the world – With a background in photojournalism for newspapers and magazines, Jan is a premiere storyteller.  Her clients include, The Washington Post, The New York Times, Kaiser Permanente and many other publicatoins and corporations around the world.

Jan also works as a consultant or a project producer, offering guidance to clients or working as a producer to create successful photo shoots and to manage visual assets. As a instructor at several institutions of higher learning, Jan teachers photojournalism and multi-media storytelling.
