Dallia Lindell
Dallia Lindell is a dedicated photojournalism student at the University of North Carolina anticipating the completion of her bachelor’s degree in media and journalism in the spring of 2026. Her interest in visual storytelling began in middle school, and as a Tar Heel fan and native, she has been able to emerge into her own powerful style of photojournalism and visual storytelling through her time in college. During her undergraduate career, she has taken many photojournalism and visual storytelling courses that have not only given her the comprehensive knowledge of how to produce great photojournalism but also immersed her in on-the-ground coverage to hone her talents.
Through opportunities with UNC’s Hussman School of Media & Journalism, Dallia has been able to serve as the photographer for a multimedia project in Buenos Aires, Argentina, covering the nation’s environmental waste and its ties to the economy. Additionally, she has been able to take part in long-form news in her coverage of the Western North Carolina area and their fight to keep their heads above water. Though photojournalism is her continuing passion, Dallia currently chooses to commit her time to creating short documentaries that bring awareness to the accomplishments, struggles and transformations of global citizens, with the most recent developing project being produced in Maui, Hawaii. When she’s not hard at work academically, Dallia continues to pour into her passion through mentorship as the director of photography at Black Ink Magazine to help other student photographers on their paths to success.
