Whether capturing corporate events, educational stories, sports moments, or family portraits, my goal is to tell the authentic story behind each subject. My journey as a photographer began with a camera in hand during a two-month adventure in South Africa and Botswana, where I first discovered the power of photography to break barriers and connect people. From that moment, I knew I wanted to use my camera to share the stories of the people, places, and moments I encountered.
When I returned to the United States I wanted to gain as much knowledge about photography as I could, so I followed my passion to Rochester Institute of Technology receiving an Associate of Science in Photography, and then a Bachelor of Arts in History at Western Kentucky University. During my time at school I won fourteen awards in College Photographer of the Year. While finishing school, I began to work as a freelance photographer for The New York Times, Time, Newsweek, Washington Post Sunday Magazine, FADER, US News & World Report, Bloomberg Magazine and National Geographic Al Arabia, among others.
With over 15 years of experience, including assignments with National Geographic and The New York Times, I’ve captured hundreds of stories across six continents. I’ve honed my ability to tell stories through the lens, capturing moments that might otherwise be missed. As a documentary photographer and photojournalist, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing life in its most raw and compelling forms—from the beauty of daily life in India to the life-changing events of the Arab Spring. These experiences have shaped my unique perspective and allow me to bring a storyteller’s eye to every project.
Based in Shelton, Connecticut, I specialize in corporate photography, education photography, sports photography, and event photography. Every business has a story to tell, every school has moments worth preserving, and every family has memories that deserve to be captured. My camera is the tool through which I bring these stories to life. Whether I’m documenting the energy of a corporate conference, the excitement of a sports event, or the candid joy of a family gathering, I strive to capture the spirit of the people and places in front of my lens.
