Personal Statement:
My goals in journalism are to further my skills in capturing the truths of the world via photography & video. I am passionate about informative and compelling storytelling via my work and therefore hoping to learn as much as I can in the field as a newer video journalist. Ultimately I believe I want to grow as a video journalist and capture moments that people will remember, so I would like to see how best I can do this by seeking opportunities to grow my skills. I would need some financial assistance in order to offset the costs of going to the workshop as a newer journalist in the field just getting started and adjusting, and having the opportunity to even go would be incredible to me.
