My goal for attending this workshop is to broaden and sharpen my skills to further my passion as a storyteller. By utilizing the skillsets gained from this workshop, I not only would be improving myself, but I would also be able to spread the knowledge learned from the workshop across my newsroom. This will strengthen our product as a whole, which will positively impact our viewing region. The scholarship will be used to cover any workshop’s fees, airfare, lodging, and other related expenses that I would otherwise not be able to afford. In conclusion, I believe that being an attendee to this workshop would teach me to practice the elements of storytelling daily, strengthen my commitment to visual journalism, and enable me to provide a better voice for my region.
