I started as a production assistant and have worked my way up to my current position. I have always wanted to attend the yearly NPPA Workshop! Several people I work with have had the chance. I am always amazed at their new ambition for visual storytelling when they return. I know my way around lights, lenses and microphones. However, I feel I could use them more effectively. Like I see in the videos submitted to NPPA contests. I love the NPPA style of storytelling!
The station I work for hasn’t sent anyone to this workshop for the past 3 years due to budget constraints. As a father of 4 I cannot reasonably come up with the money to send myself. I make a decent living and owe this business for all I have. I am always looking to learn and this is a great opportunity for that.
